I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
